Even though it is said that all people are different I don't believe that's true. Moreover, it's complicated to say whether I am an individual or not, only those who surround me can suggest by the way I behave, dress and so on. Individuality is in one's soul and mind. But mass media shapes the public opinoin nowadays and makes us change our views on indispensable aspects of society life. If we are influenced by the mass media, then we all take the same views. Hence, individuals are someone who buck the life system but not defer to the mass media

Its like, your special, just like every one-els. Media will never admit they cater for the masses, because we all want to feel special. The only media which caters for the individual is the written word, like books. Can you call yourself an individual if you watch TV?

Of course there is. I, for one, don't watch television, find that it rots the mind and makes one lazy. I listen to the radio, get my news off the net, form my own opinions, and am open to discussion on anything. I dress how I feel comfortable, don't bother with makeup or "fixing" my hair, it's long and straight and a good brushing is fine. I decorate my house in a way that no one can ever come in and say "I have that". I prefer to spend my free time at museums, walking, at flea markets, talking to friends. I avoid the mall like the plague and send the kids out to do the shopping. Once you remove yourself from all the advertising, you find yourself.

I THINK therefore I am. No matter how alike some people tend to think, there are always things that they would disagree. This is individuality
