It was another poor performance. People will say 'but hey, we're still getting results, thats the important thing' but for Christ sake, we struggled against Paraguay and Trinidad and Tobago! Rooney came back and straight away you could see a 'get the ball to rooney' attitude in the team, even though hes been out for ages, hasnt played a game, and was only passed fit by doctors hours before hand. I dont care if crouch scores or not, he doesnt deserve to be in the squad. Am i the only person to see how aweful he is, and that just because hes really tall doesnt make him good in the air. He hasnt got the physical ability to hold off defenders, so whilst he may be the first to the ball, hes not going to be able to put it away. And jesus! Unmarked just off hte six yard line, ball floats over perfectly for him to smack it away, what does he do? Miscues it. Put defoe in the team and that would have been in the back of the net. (I realise that crouch did score and has scored 6 in the last 8 or so games, but come on, 3 of those was against jamaica!) It really got on my nerves not to have seen walcott on again. When he pushed cole up to attack against paraguay and didnt bring walcott on i just thought 'WHAT!??!' and he didnt come on again. Sven, if you think hes ready and will make an impact bring him on. If not why did you bring him in the first place? Think, if hes not going to get a game when the team are playing awefully against 'inferior' opponants, hes hardly going to get a game in the latter stages against brazil or germany or argentina etc.

Whats the story lads, we were crap. Have you been watching the other games, other countries put our style of football to shame. We have no one that can play up front. Yes I am delighted we are through but we are going to struggle big time in the next round. We left great players at home i.e Bent, Shaun Wright Phillips. We need players that can run at the opposition not pass the ball around the middle of the field and back to the keeper!!!!!!!!!!!

England played like crap the first half. Scoring that late was a disaster for their moral I would imagine, win or no win.

It did get that way after England cocked around for the first half.

yes it was, england need to improve by alot, both matches they won wernt very convincing wins for a team of their calibre.
if they want to go further they have to work harder..teams like germany, spain, brazil etc will crush them...
