Forgivness how do I define it ? It's what I do to avoid being taken over by need of vegance. It's god's safty catch on the cooker that is me and if I don't use it I become inhumane. It's about faith for me letting it go instead of hanging on to the sinking titanic of my pride and pain. I let go because I believe in something more outside myself beyond reason but benvolent in the way a good father is with his child. Forgiveness isn't forgetting, it's putting into the hands of one stronger then me admitting my humanity that I can't carry the weight. Paying homage as creation to my creator. The worst flaw I can posses is pride that says I will take this yoke of vegance on myself. Forgivness is how I say I know my place God and I trust you to know yours.

Being able to overcome your anger towards the situation or person, allowing you to move on by forgiving them whether they asked for forgiveness or not. You have to reach a point that if you don't forgive you will never excell forward.

To let go of the pain in your heart. Forgiveness is for the forgiver and not the forgiven. The forgiven will still suffer the consequence of their action.

In Jain religion the importance of forgiveness is very well known to everyone.
The word forgiveness ‘Kshama’ means patience, forbearance and pardon. To pardon an enemy or a friend both is the jewel of Sannyãsîs(Monks). Forbearance is the ornament of brave.
Forgiveness, ordinarily it means not to cause misery to any living beings, or not to get angry on any unpleasant and unwanted happening.
In words of Everett Worthington, PH.D it is” You could say it’s just changing your thinking, or it’s changing your motivation; some people say it’s just making a decision of the way you’re going to act. My claim is that it’s a change in your emotional experience”.

There are many sides to a person. Don't just judge somebody by their negative traits, see the good sides to them and allow that to outshine the darkside.
Accept them for their negative traits, and I believe that those who can't forgive, can't see their own negative traits thus not accepted themselves for themselves. If you can accept your own negative traits you try and improve upon them, you can't accept others unless you've accepted your own...therefore all round improvement I'd say
If you can't accept their negative traits because they are blind to them, then we have to accept that and either live with it, or walk away

Who understands everything, can forgive everything.I think if you understand somebodies reasons for what he is doing, you wont resent him, even if it is hurtful to you.
