I actually really liked Taylor, and liked him right from the early audition stage. But then, I like soul. So obviously I'm going to back a singer that sings something I like listening to. Do I Make You Proud is diabolical though (but then, aren't all the original songs they give the winners)
I also really like Chris, and think he is amazingly talented. The trouble with Chris though, was that he was unwilling to compromise to appeal to a bigger audience. Even when he was doing bands that a lot of people might know (like Creed for example) he picked more obscure tracks, instead of big hits. Though I think it's very commendable to be true to yourself, you have to look at your forum. You can't expect to win a show where the general public votes for you, if you're not willing to appeal to them. If his attitude was "this is me, this is what I do, I'm not going to even bend" then he was following the wrong path to success. I hope he does well in the future though.
I think Elliott is really talented, though I hate that style of music. With the success of people like Michael Buble though, there's a lot of commercial success to have there. He should do well.
I always like Ace too. I would have really liked to hear him do a Jamiroqui track. I think he'd be very suited to it.
I hated, could not stand, cringed every time she opened her mouth, Katharine. Her moment of the season was standing there with her fake smile plastered on congratulating Taylor, as far as I'm concerned.

Well, first of all, it's should "have", not should "of". Just a friendly FYI for next time. ;-)
Second, the American people should have won by not being forced to watch further seasons after the first one came and went. Unfortunately, most people in the world like to dream about fame and subsequently live vicariously through others, and these "reality" shows let them watch everyday, ordinary people become famous for doing nothing except looking pretty and having a nice voice.

I love Taylor, but thought from the beginning that Chris would win. Chris probably should have won. But Taylor is awesome as well, way to go Taylor!
