He's a monster... I never really seen a guy who is a 20/20 threat every night like he is (points/rebounds). That's very rare and he is only 20 years old. If he continues at the pace he's at, he will soon be put in the company of guys like Bill Russell, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Hakeem Olajuwon, in addition to Shaq.

I think Howard is a good player and has a very good chance to become a nba all star but the next shaq, i dont think so!! Shaq is one of the top 3 best centers ever cause he was dominant in his prime there wasnt a center out there that could guard him and i think without fouling him or double-triple teaming him was the only way to stop him!! Howard can shoot free throws better!!

Not sure about the next Shaq...there's not a lot of players who are as big as Shaq and the one's who are have no skills whatsoever. But HE CAN REBOUND. He's gotta go in the same category as Ben Wallace KG and Marcus Camby...and he just finished his SECOND year in the league! He probably has the best vertical among power forwards and center in the NBA unless you count Shawn Marion as a power forward. Dwight Howard and Chris Bosh are two extreemely underrated stars on two very bad teams budding into very good players. I think they should both be all-stars next season. If Darko Milicic continues to improve, we might have the next twin towers of the NBA.

Dwight Howard is a lot more athletic. Standing 6' 11'', 240; Howard is a freak athlete - he has extremely long arms (even for a person of his height), and he can also touch the TOP of the backboard. There is no doubt that Howard is one of the game's best young big men; if he remains as committed to improving himself and keeping up his spectacular work ethic; it will be interesting to see what kind of a player he develops into.

Ok, i haven't seen dwight bring down the backboard yet, so i can't even begin to compare him to a young Shaq.

Dwight is good, certainly not Shaq, but guess he is the next best thing

More like the next Duncan. Howard wants to improve his mid-range jumper and he doesn't have Shaq's size.

Dwight got game,no doubt about it, but Shaq made his reputation because not only was he talented, he had atitude and people talked about him. Shaq marketed himself,f u knw wat i mean..But Dwight has potential,I remember one game he put some moves on Tim the whole game.. If he can do that to Mr.Duncan,He can do that to everyone and hell be fine..

He just needs to avoid being posterized, i remember Kobe dunked on him and it was all over the NBA world.. He looked helpless, bad for the image..

Howard is good at rebounding. He might go all-star in 3 years if he continues to rebound more and score more.

He'll be good but I don't see him being a beast, more like a great # 2 star!
