The draw-string.
So simple,it seems odd.
lf your draw-string gets pulled out,you could also use a bodkin or safety-pin if you haven't one to put it back.Stick the point of the safety pin into the end of the string .Close the safety pin.Put the pin into the gap where the draw-string is supposed to be and push gently through till it comes out on the other side.

Well, I don't wear pajamas. But if I did, I would use a bodkin to replace the string when it got loose (probably in the washing machine, pretty wild stuff happens in there). A bodkin looks like a giant sewing needle, with a large hole at one end (to thread the string through) and a ball instead of a point at the other, so it slides through the casing easily.

I use a safety pin attached to one end of the drawstring. That way no pricked fingers and it goes through the channel easily
