the transmission went out and now it's in the shop and the guy is charging me 1500$ to rebuild it. is that a good deal?

it's the going rate...it sure does suck, though, considering that's what the car is worth...sorry.

your car is 10 year`s old time to get a newer car,most tranny`s need work after 10 year`s.
if your car is in good shape,then maybe it`s worth fixing.
if it`s beat and need`s of work ,you might want a second
