I'm guessing 2meg refers to your broadband contract. If you have a lot of applications installed, perhaps your hard drive is near full this can slow down the computer quite a bit. Considering you have installed yahoo, aol and msn, you are three times more likely to be loaded with oodles of spyware. Install Ad-aware, its free and scan your hard drive once a week. Delete everything that gets found.

Besides Defragging ever so often, run Disc Clean-up (all are already part of Windows) --- also periodically delete those temporary Internet files that take up a ton of space.

Spyware? Do you have any spyware scanning programs like Ad-Aware or Spybot? If not you might run a google search and install one. Also if you have a bunch of programs running in the task bar (the icons down by the clock) you might close or remove ones you don't absolutely need, as they all eat up memory.

"i am on 2meg its defraged".I can only assume you are refering to your hard drive's free space.(2meg=available free storage + its defraged=used defragmenter)that is why I think you are refering to your HDD.You will likely get mixed solutions. If thats the free space, buy a new hard drive.Cost per GB's are cheaper on 160-320GB drives.1 cause,Paging file is being swapped from HDD to Ram constantly.?

First things first, go to the the Microsoft Malicious Software removal tool on Microsoft.com. Run that and see if it detects malware.
