vampires are just mythical creatures that walk the land in fiction movies and books nothing else though u can't be sure coz there is a castle of Dracula in Romania

the first modern vampire story - and the place where all our current ideas about vampires begin - is john polidori's short story 'the vampyre' which he published in 1819.
in this original story the name of the vampyre is 'lord ruthven'.
what is most interesting about the story is that most educated londoners in 1819 would have known that 'lord ruthven' was really lord byron (the english poet) who had recently sacked john polidori as his personal physician.

at least three films have been made about the events which led john polidori to write a satire against lord byron as a vampire (byron may well be the original frankenstein's monster as well).
you should try to watch at least the ken russel.

I do not belive in vampires but i have watched a documnetry on real poeple that think they are. it was very interesting to see the life style that they live. I twas on teh Discovery Channel a couple months ago. Keep a look out it may comeon again.

I do accept the concept of vampires. Not the story book, turn into bat corpse’s variety, but an energy draining kind, on if you will a physic level. Have you ever noticed being around someone and their presence sapped your energy?

Some people drink blood. But I would not call them vampires, just weirdos.

I believe in a lot of stuff but vampires? no way, I think I will save that silly stuff for movies.

I believe in them. Not the storybook, immortal, able to turn into bats and fly, allergic to sunlight kind though. I actually know they exist (I know some people who are vampires). They feed on blood and/or psychic energy.
