he just must get another job asap... and you should not be depressed about it. It is not your fault and it is his responsibility. Question is: what was he doing as he was not at work? With you? Or somewhere eles? That is more worrying to me. He must get his CV and go and start over. You must be strong now.
He can always go back to the place where he lost a job and ask for forgiveness, only if he honestly is willing to change. As even if he start somewhere else he will loose his job. Other option is he must do his own business so he will know, time taking is loosing money etc.

Tell him he can either get another job or you will get another man and put a time limit on his trying to find one! Mean it when you say it, and back it up......Let him know that you are taking applications for the position now, but will be conducting interviews soon!
This, with the assumpton that the absences were of his choosing!

Be hard on this.
I use to do lot of Breaks and took leaves from office when i joined my first assisgnment after college buy my friends ( special one ) use dto push me around , she use to call in da mornin to wake me up , had alook at my assisgnments that are cimpleted or not.
Some people have such nature you need to pressurize him and force him togot work.

first of all try to understand the main reason of being absents from job.There may be so many reasons behind not going there.Being his wife you must try to understand his problem rather being depress and angry.control yourself and try to find out the reason behind this. behave like his friend and lover he himself will tell you every thing.

Either he wanted out of that job... or he is an irresponsible bum. If he wanted out, and is looking for another job,.Encourage him and stop whining. If he is a bum.. get rid of him. This one was too easy.....
