Sounds like a philosophical type question, or metaphorical.... Hyper-sensational? No, ummm, I think pretty much every fruit producing tree has leaves of some sort. A better question might be why this is under Women's Studies.

Goku, i think this is under women's studies cause the answer is women!
We have no leaves.......and our ability to bear children make us fruitful...and our roots are over the land.......we stand on the ground, so our feet are over the land.......
