I'm left-handed and I wear my watch on my right wrist. That's for a reason. If I trip or something is thrown at me, for instance, I will instinctively use my left arm or hand to avoid being hurt. If my watch is there, it will break with the blow, so I need to use it in the other hand. Besides, when I was in school, I could go on writing, and see the time, to know how much time was missing till the time I could go home.

If you are right handed you should wear it on the left wrist. Why??? You have a muchj greater chance of damaging the watch if you wear on the right.
If you are left handed the same goes, put the watch on the right,

My generation wore it on the left wrist. However since seat-belts became laws I switched to right wrist because I
ruined a few expensive watches from scraping nixes when I put my seat belt on.

I don't think there is any particular etiquette surrounding this, generally I think right-handed people wear it on their left, and the opposite for left-handed.
Wear it on whatever wrist is more comfortable, and if anyone suggests it's wrong tell them to find something important to worry about.

Without doubt, either wrist is acceptable. We are bilaterally identical organisms and as such we have a choice. The whole idea of a wristwatch is to tell the time apart from being an item of jewellery. However, we do not wear it for the judgement of others, apart from solid gold saying something about you!

The left hand if he is right handed, and right if he is left handed...... Having said that I am right handed and wear mine on the right, but that is because I tended to smash watches on my left wrist.....Don't think it really matters

I don't know - I thinnk it is up to the man.
I always wear my watch on my left wrist, (but I am female, so that probably doesn't help you) But I would say, choose the one that feels best to you.
It is the 21st century, do we really have to worry about things like that?

It depends if you are left or right handed.
Generally people wear it on their non-dominant hand.
(ie-if you are right handed wear it on the left wrist)
This keeps your important hand free to do important things.
