Try and wind down at night. Have a bath, don't drink tea or coffee or any alcohol because these will all keep you awake. Don't eat anything heavy close to bed time. Also are you worried about something and that could be keeping you awake. If so maybe you could talk to someone, as the saying goes, a problem shared and all that. Anyway hope that has been some help, take care x

You don't need to see a doctor. Try this ok? Drink some warm milk before bedtime- it contains stuff that will make you sleepy. Avoid anything emotionally exciting 2 hours before bedtime- if your mind is quiet, it will go to sleep easier. Don't work out before bedtime- the adrenaline in your body will keep you awake. If you still can't sleep, take a 20 minute power nap during the day, that seems to help some people. Good Luck

You could try and sort out what it is that is causing you so much stress that you are not sleeping properly. Also, try taking a hot bath with lavender oil, and also warm milk with honey as there is apparently something in warm milk that encourages sleep. If you drink a lot of coffee you could try cutting back on that too

I had a period of insomnia, it was a bugger however a few things helped me out no end. 1st was doing a bit of exercise during the day... even just a good walk. Having a hot bath before i was ready to go to bed (pop some lavender in it-- makes you relaxed and sleepy) and Lavender sent of my pillow.. Works wonders! Also, don't drink any coffee or fizzy juice for at least a couple of hours b4 you want to nod off...
Also, you could try things like "horrlicks"-- warm malt kind of drink, sounds grim but it's lovely and makes you tres sleepy!!

Hope this helps you out a bit... :o

One of the simplest and most effective ways to induce sleep is to rub some oil on the scalp and the soles of the feet before going to bed.

Use sesame oil, brahmi oil, jasmine oil, cow's ghee or jatamatnsi oil, and massage gently for a few minutes. Slightly warming the oil before applying is helpful
