Is this where you lived when the cops hauled your a$$ off to jail a few years ago?

Short of breaking and entering...you do not.
However you could go over to the place and meet the folk that are living there, if they seem nice tell them you have some personal items that you left behind there and failed to retrieve, do not tell them where, and if they tell you to go get it, you may. Perhaps give them a reward for keeping it safe.
Or, you could go to a lawyer, and let him draw up the necessary papers to allow you to retrieve personal property from the home and do it that way.

You better hope the current owners don't reconize your picture from your avatar, which would be dumber than leaving it in the first place.
Buying the house back would be the legal way of getting it back.
How much $$$ are you talking about? Gotta weigh cost-benefit.

Call me to use my hammer and pry bar. Actually call the police tell them,but dont say where the house is and also ask a lawyer,they will talk 1/2 hour free

Knock on the door, tell the people there you'll give them X dollars (10% would be fair) if they let you in to get the $$$. 90% of something is better than 0%

I would go over in person and explain your current situation,who knows maybe they are nice people and they will let you dig it up and have it all back. but defenatly dont just tell them on the phone, go over i n person and explain the situation.
