98 se is about to become osblete i have heard as of july (not sure exact date) there will no longer be any critical updats

i thought that it was already obslete they like have theres like over 8 differnet OSs after that (including idff verisons like pro and HE)

They haven't been releasing new updates for a long time on 98 SE. They probably will stop offering any updates very soon for Windows 98. Right now they are not releasing new updates but you can still get the old ones.

This means no new security patches so if someone writes a new attack for Windows 98 SE, Office, or IE, then Microsoft will not be creating a security patch for it.

Windows 98 it's obsolete since 98 :) I would erase it from computer history. Thank God that Microsoft chose NT technology for Windows 2000 and Xp.

That is correct. Windows 98 and Windows ME are officially obsolete.

well, if it is so, then try not to worry. If youre using win98se then, ur lucky, because if there will be no more updates, therefore it means that win98se is almost or bug free os. i for myself like 98se than the rest of windows os, suites me best. second to open source of course.
