Why do we find it so difficult to give than to take?

It could be argued that it is human nature. Very young children are quite self-centred, without actually meaning to be 'selfish' or 'stingy' in a strict sense. With age and maturity, this gradually changes into a more 'normal' give-and-take relationship with others. However, this might not just 'happen' if the child is not consciously guided and consequently does not experience the inherent joy in giving or compassionate behaviour in general.

Because it takes less effort to thank someone and take than to give something and say you're welcome.


BTW..I'm a giver usually, but I'm not afraid to take when offered.

because giving usually means we have to take the time out of our life and do something, or give up something we want...and sometimes we have this internal selfish thing that lingers in us that wants to hold onto what we have because it is ours..yet when someone gives us something we take it without thinking..b/c all we have to do is take it right??

ya there r some person who hv bad mentality,they doesn't want thet others person shld have benefits frm them,trully speaking they r selfish,it is better to maintain distance with them.

i give most of the time... and doesnt have difficulty on this kind of deed... it is a nice feeling

I am a giver, .. I guess it was how you were raised, and how wealthy you are, or were...
