I am glad I got over my fear speaking English and spell out my opinion. But I urge you be yourself because, most people love to talk and voice his or her opinion. You just nod your head and smile. Here is my trick that I used so many times.(yeah and I agree with your piny of view.or your are right on target.)Meanwhile you need to practice by watching News day and night. You also can try in front of the mirror and do it over and over again then you will get use to your routine.Do not discourage and give up easily. You have to tell your self that communication is very important and you need it for a living.Good luck and enjoy your practice.I am sure you will do very well.

In my understanding of learning languages, you have to be able to have the courage to speak in front of people. If you make a mistake, it's perfectly fine because the other people know that English may not be your first language. It's certainly not alot of people's first language so you don't have to worry about speaking.
The more you speak, the quicker you're going to pick up on a language and learn about the people's culture. Remember, don't be afraid. It's all part of learning. Remember, nobody's perfect. We'll all make mistakes. Just go ask a coworker in the office and see if you can practice English with him/her. That way, you don't have to be afraid when you talk.
Good luck and I'm sure you'll be fine. :)

What can I do if I am scared of talking English in public? I am not confident in my spoken English.
I suggest that you write down your opinions, then read them to people. It's very difficult for second language users to speak spontaneously in public. Also, I suggest you find a partner in your company and speak English with them for at least a few minutes every day. This will improve your spoken English as well as your confidence. You might share your ideas with your partner before sharing them with your workmates.

Speak english in a group of friends who will correct you but nicely. You could always take a correspondance course or go to a school and take English as a second language.

It's possible, there may be people within your community that volunteer to help enhance your vocabulary skills. You could try asking a teacher at an elementary school to direct you somewhere with that information, and/or at your local library. In the meanwhile, keep practicing.

Well, you're doing great. You talk adorable, and it's admirable that you're trying. Keep it up....try try try. Talk, talk, talk, Make yourself do it. When we sometimes laugh, it's because you say something cute. We don't mean to be rude or make fun..and we need to be more thoughtful about doing this. I do know how you feel. I work often with all spanish-speaking staff as a teacher, and I get embarressed to. But the best thing is to DO IT.

Practice makes progress and you have to talk to others for practice. Pick a close friend to practice with, or maybe outloud to yourself. Don't be so self conscious you probably speak better than most English speakers because you have to focus when you speak. Happy practicing!

just focus on what the message is instead of how you say the words. It's ok to make mistakes because you learn from them.
Good luck
