My Grandpa told me in his day (world war 2 era) that having either ear pierced meant you were homosexual.

Only the right lobe. Some men have both(for style) therefore, you don't know if they're straight or gay. Unfortunately, not only ear piercing but, body piercing has taken a new hold on society as a whole. It's become so common for any one to have a piercing that I've ran into old women that have tounge piercings(I'd hate to think what else) and seem to enjoy the addition. In the end, why waste time on nonsense? Straight, Gay, Old, Young, Handi-Capable - everybody has a right to sport a piercing. - respect.

It used to be the right ear that would make you a homosexual. But again, this was in the mid 90s. Nowadays it doesn't matter.

No, or route no longer. Any piercings are meant to be for a particular class of people. And those days there are only such diverse fellows, straights and gays, who've their ears pierced.. in case you want it then bypass for it and that isn't any longer ''gay''!

the right ear, which might be why i have 1 in my left and 6 in my right? but seriously, i don't think anyone really worries about this anymore. what about people with multiple piercings in multiple places? what's their preference?

It's the left. Of course we are more acccepting of metrosexuals this day and age but depending on your location.... stick with the right. Also, both is okay. Either stick with the right or get them both pierced!

i have heard "left is right, right is wrong" so if ur straight get the left ear pierced. this applys to guys only.

I always see straight guys with either both or the left one pierced.
gay guys seem to always pierce the right one, or sometime Left.
