Single Cell Organisms.

2006-06-15 19:49:52 · answer #1 · answered by chuky172 1 · 2 5

That would depend on your beliefs.

If you were religious then God made all creatures so the chicken came. Also if you believe in the evolution theory then the chicken came first. When life started on earth everything was single celled organisms which is neither egg nor chicken and as evolution happened these organisms started to evolve and when the organism evolved enough to stop asexually reproducing then they would have started laying eggs.

This shows that either way not matter what you believe the Chicken came before the egg

Aaun sikhaun tumhe ande ka funda.
See, first of all a chicken got constipation. It could not be released. Behind that stool was loose motion. A pressure of 5000000000000 kilopascals was created which resulted in a blast which we know as the big bang. The total amount of stool flew away in different directions and formed the modern galaxies, stars and planets. One of the planets was earth where the chicken fell and laid an egg. So it is for you to decide whether the chicken came first or the egg? But I must say you that you are one of those chunks of stool of that chicken. Eat tasty Cowdung. Bye.

In nature, living things evolve through changes in their DNA. In an animal like a chicken, DNA from a male sperm cell and a female ovum meet and combine to form a zygote -- the first cell of a new baby chicken. This first cell divides innumerable times to form all of the cells of the complete animal. In any animal, every cell contains exactly the same DNA, and that DNA comes from the zygote.

Chickens evolved from non-chickens through small changes caused by the mixing of male and female DNA or by mutations to the DNA that produced the zygote. These changes and mutations only have an effect at the point where a new zygote is created. That is, two non-chickens mated and the DNA in their new zygote contained the mutation(s) that produced the first true chicken. That one zygote cell divided to produce the first true chicken.

Prior to that first true chicken zygote, there were only non-chickens. The zygote cell is the only place where DNA mutations could produce a new animal, and the zygote cell is housed in the chicken's egg. So, the egg must have come first.

Do you believe in creation (chicken) or evolution (egg)? In creation theory God just made the chickens. In evolution theory the chickens evolved from other animals. One day an animal hatched an egg that had a proto chicken in it. With each generation the proto chicken became closer and closer to the modern chicken.

The chicken is the one that laid the egg, so I would say the chicken came before the egg.

With no chicken, how did the egg get there? With no egg, how did the chicken get there?

Doesn't matter...egg or chicken tastes good.

Whether you believe in a supreme being or evolution, you would have to assume that chickens were around before eggs, besides eggs couldn't make it on their own.

The chicken if you are a relegious person. God created man and beast to pro-create and populate the world. So of course man and beast came first.

The "egg" would be a product of pro-creation.
