I think the first instinct is to help others. But I also think that we are addicted to see others views. We then learn other ways of helping in the future.

Possibly because we have a desire or need to be involved with others at a meaningful level. We want to share with others and fill a need in the lives of others. Many people share a passion for writing, realizing that the process of setting forth words teaches us lessons about our deep desires and goals.

I guess because everyone has an opinion about something. I see a question and think "I could help" or "I would like to share my views on that".
