medical tourism is at a high in India. since most surgerys are expensive in the US & europe, a lot of people are coming to india for surgery. the docs & hospitals are very good and the cost is 1/4 of what ud otherwise pay.
its very safe & cost effective.

Depends on the country. If it is a first world nation then it should be O.K. (if it is a respectible hospital and doctor) but I would avoid going to any 3rd world countries for surgery.

The philippines is very good. I know alot of my coworkers who go there for everything. Surgery is one and it's much cheaper than the states.

it depends on what country u r going to. surgery in some countries (asian) charge less than US, Australia or Europe

Yeah! Just make sure you do good research before. If it wasn't safe, how would all people get sane outside US?
