A jerk is an individual who generally treats others badly and is insensitive to the feelings of those around them.
"Sucks" generally indicates an extreme level of badness.
"The President's policy in Iraq sucks" for example.
A geek is someone who is obsessed with the technical or the trivial. Graduates of MIT or Cal Tech are generally geeks.
They also can become fabulously wealthy; Bill Gates is a prime example.

it sucks means it just makes the person Fed up.
