It was my Step son's formal high school graduation. Everyone was dressed up very nicely. We were milling around in our own groups when out of the blue, the exe's sister sprayed down me and my husband with silly string. It got in his mouth and all over his hair. It got all over the side of my face, my hair and my new hair bag. No warning, no apologies, nothing. Just this rude, out of control immature behaviour. I've never even met the sister. Still couldn't tell you what she looks like. I Just know they are both over 40.
I want to get them back. I know that's wrong. I'm so furious. It went INTO my husband's mouth! It was so low class. And, just plain evil! I tried to get a can from my son to have my own fun, but my mom in law, gave me a "no way" and wouldn't let me.
What should I do? Wait until our daughter (step) graduates in 3 years and get them with a selzer bottle and a blow horn?
I was so nice. I didn't say a word. I didn't even meet the other family.

While "getting back" at them might feel great in the moment, it isn't the best way to handle the situation. They want you to respond in kind. Don't give them the satisfaction. They are exceedingly immature, particularly since they are middle aged and behaving like grade schoolers.
Don't bother with them. They're not worth your time or energies.

You are right that it was low class. If any of your nice clothes or your purse got ruined, send her the dry cleaning bill. Send it certified letter. Keep a copy of the receipt of your new things. Sue her in small claims. That's how you can get her back. She and her sister will look so stupid in court and it will be public record! Please don't resort to that kind of childish behavior. The kids and everyone in your community can see who the better person is! Also make a police report. That's assault! That will make her day. Send the cops to her house. That's absolutely ridiculous behavior for an adult.

go to the evil witches house and toilet paper her house and get that spray stuff(it is kind of like foam and it is suposse to come off easy but trust me it doesnt) for your cars that you can write out "Congrats mom "on her car. let it sit over night, it is so hard to get off after a few hours of being on. she will love spending the day with it on, you can write some pretty crazy stuff on her car.but dont let her know it was you. have your family help out. she will have to spend the weekend cleaning the toilet paper out of her house and the spray stuff off of her car, throw confetti con her lawn so she can have fun cleaning that up too. hey it is all in good fun right? yo uare not hurting her or making her look stupid like she did. hopfully she isnt having a party this weekend.

Ignore them like they do not exist. Why, because they want you to retaliate. They did that because they have nothing better to do, but you do. You don't have time to be so immature. You are better than them!
