Politics and Morality are both relative terms.
Unfortunately for us, they both happen to be totally unrelated to each other !

Look, in your question you're asking if it's a "theory" that politicians have morals. I mean, c'mon. Do lawyers have feelings? Do psychiatrists use the right-side of their brain?

Probably they do, at least in the beginning, but rationalization of their actions and manipulation of public opinion is part and parcel of politics.

They start with morals, but eventually they sacrifice them for campaign funding to stay in office.

of course not they cant afford to have ,
they must appear to please their public
and they have to follow the strategies dictated by their control
there is no place for morals or principals in all of that.
