Peanuts grow under ground along the roots. The top of the plant is a small green bush reaching about 12 inches. Peanuts are very easy to grow. You can buy raw peanuts in the shell at the grocery store and plant them about 3 inches deep. You will get 5-8 peanuts on the root system of each peanut. Peanuts plants are actually very pretty little plants. If your curious just plant a few...the are fun.
