Trust is a hard thing to earn, and you two probably haven't been together long enough yet for it to be gained. Some people can trust easily, but others don't have that option. All you can do is be truthful and let him trust you in his own time. If you haven't been together long, he might not have reached love yet with you... but he could be completely and utterly infatuated with you. If you have been with him for a good time span and have shared the highs and lows together, he could be in love. I guess all you can do is trust what he is saying. Maybe it you are one of those that it comes easy to. You'll know in time exactly how he feels... you just have to wait.

From personal experience, lack of trust destroys anything that is beautiful in a relationship. Is it possible to love someone and not trust them...Yes. However, love without trust does not feel like love at all.

Yes, love is completely possible without trust. But,the two of you need to discuss it and work on it, or it's pointless. He probably had a bad relationship, so he is taking that out on you. Make it clear to him that he can trust you, and if you do everything you can, and he still doesn't, leave.

Yup - you can love someone but not trust them - this makes it really hard in a relationship though, since a relationship is built on trust.

yes it is it is hard to trust someone when you been hurt by either them or someone else but u have to let him feel comfortable to tell you things and trust you. and if u did something wrong then let him slowly regain the trust he had in you but also try to show him your sorry and that you really wanna make things work

there are a few people I love but can't trust. it also depends with what....if it's his past, then it may not matter who loves him more, but who loves him in spite of.(or so, he may feel)
There are also people I trust that I don't love (not as bad as it sounds- for example, I trust my attorney to come trough for me(though he may or may not)...but i don't love him(unless he wins me a million dollars)

very possible. some people have trouble with trust, his mistrust is probably a sign of fear of losing you - which shows you how much he loves you

I'm not sure. i have the same problem. my guy says he loves me but doesn't trust ANYONE, not even me. it sucks. just ask him why and if it could be changed.
