Do some research on Sylvia Brown.I have confidence in this.....and trust me------I AM NOT fooled easily. They should make themselves known to us around 2010-2016 or so.You might be surprised.......but let the sceptics scoff until then.

Out there... in my backyard? Yes, I do. There's trees, squirrels, little stripey beetles, moss, clover, grackles, those little buttercup flowers, grass that needs to be mowed soon, some cute lil' cottontails that have a warren out there somewhere near the creek...
If you happen to mean life on other planets, and not life in my backyard, I'd say "probably"... based on the sheer volume of planets out there, and the notion that our definition of life might be entirely too limited at this point so that we don't even know how many possibilities are out there. Then again, we've found no signs so far... but we're in our infancy as a race that's even starting to look around out there, and it's a pretty big place. :)

Yes--for a number of reasons.
1. the size of the universe
2. the tendency of organisms to evolve into smarter organisms and so on
3. the presence of organic building blocks or their pre-requisites even in other places within our own solar system
4. the time the universe has been around/will probably be around compared to the time it took life to evolve on Earth
5. the adaptability of life to a very wide range of conditions on Earth
6. (though we should all be skeptical to some degree) the report of UFOs and aliens in recorded history
