sourabh is nutz to think that the US is the only one who declares war.
As for Iran, most people here are incorrect in saying that every country deserves what they want, even if it's the ability to make their own nuclear power plants or bombs. That is the most idiotic, dumbfounded thing anyone could possibly say. The international community (not just the U.S.) has the right to deny any country this right based on their behavior. Like it or not, the world powers are on the Security Council for a reason. It's so the future Hitlers, Castros, and Jihadists don't attempt to deter peace and tranquility in the world with their radical thirst for power. Acquiring a bomb let's it persist and possibly erupt.
So for those of you who think it's OK for Iran to have the bomb, you should seriously think about what you are saying.
If Iran really wanted access to nuclear energy and not the bomb, then it would be in their best interest to outsource that for now. Take the Russians up on their offer. Just give in, that's the only price you pay. Stop with this pompous show of pride.
Then over time after you've changed your attitude towards Israel and sponsoring terrorism, you might just earn the trust you think you deserve now.

Saddam had no Weapons of Mass Destruction, and he allowed UN to verify the fact. He got clobbered. North Korea said that they have nukes and bush backed of and let them alone, even sent foreign aid in the form of money and food. If Iran has no weapons of mass destruction they had better get some fast. Nukes might be good. If they do not arm up fast they are in serious trouble because they are on the hit list for oil. The creation of a power generating plant would be a nice thing also

Sure, and it was Hitler's and Tojo's right to start a world war of conquest in which 50 million people died. The only right of the Iranian people, like the American people, is to be free and answer to God for what they do. It scares the hell out of the rest of the world when the Iranian leaders say they are going to wipe out Israel and talk about the myth of the Holocaust.

Iran already has nuclear power. The debate is whether they have the right to enrich enough weapons grade uranium to make a nuclear bomb. Since Iran is a signatory of the Non-proliferation treaty, it doesn't have a right to the bomb.

Under the nuclear proliferation treaty, no one can make any more bombs. Power is another matter. It should be ok to persue, but Iran has lied to the world on even things that are unrelated that it is hard to trust them on anything. That's why the US gave the offer to supply the uranium to Iran.

Yes, they have the right to better their country with nuclear fuel. But, I feel that Iran should be monitored closerly maybe by the U.N. or another contingent watchdog group. Iran has been known to be a little unstable politically.......

Yes.cause its not right that only few countries have this and others feel threatened. In the history of mankind only US has used this on humans and they are the only one to declare war on other countries and they say they are doing it for peace. How can war give birth to peace.Other than US every country has rights to keep nuclear weapons..only thing they have to keep in mind is "WITH GREAT POWER COMES GREAT RESPONSIBILITY"

Do you really think they're trying to make clean, efficient power? They're spending limitless amounts of money to enrich the uranium. The guy just said a few months ago he's going to blow Isreal off the face of the planet. Would you give a child a baseball bat if he told you he wanted to knock somebody out, but just wants the bat to "play baseball with". I would say...ummm...NO.

No way, when a country (Iran) declares that they want to wipe Israel off the map; do you think they should be trusted with nuclear power?

It isn't the right of any person (or people) to have nuclear power. Neither is it the right of any other to tell another that it isn't their right.
