Jedis aren't supposed to form personal attachments, at least that was the rule in the Old Republic. Strong feelings of any kind could lead to an imbalance in a Jedi's connection with the Force through the clouding of one's judgement, which would ultimately lead to the dark side.

Jedi knights are not allowed to have feelings for someone or possessions because they are weaknesses that could be used against them by the Siths Lords

They are sort of warrior monks. They are not suppose to get distracted. But Luke marries later, and of course Anakin married, so I don't think it is strictly enforced.

Jedi are supposed to maintain full control over themselves. If they love or have passion, their emotions will be likely to affect their behavior as a whole. They will more easily get upset or angry, and we all know what anger leads to...
