At last report, Sammy Sosa turned down a non-guaranteed contract offer from the Washington Nationals during this off-season.
With the recent revelations about the use of HGH (human growth hormone) from Jason Grimsley, it's unlikely that Sosa, one of the most prominent players said to be tied to baseball's steroids scandal (and one of the players who testified before the House committee investigating the problem) will be receiving any calls from major league front offices any time soon.
On the other hand, if you want to know what Sammy Sosa is doing RIGHT NOW, he was courtside at the American Airlines Arena in Miami last night (or tonight, however you prefer to think of it) for game 4 between the Miami Heat and Dallas Mavericks.

He faded into oblivion...which I'm more then happy about! Maybe he is somewhere learning how to speak English again, because he all of the sudden completely forgot how to when he was in danger of being outed at the Congress hearings! I really lost respect for all his achievements when the corked bat thing happened, and the steroid/Hgh issue is just disappointing. There was always something shady about him, and I'm happy he's out of the MLB orbit.
