I was wondering this..does the country pay them maybe? or do they do it for the privilege to be able to play meaning they do it for free...Thanks for your insight!

Actualyy i don't think they get paid THAT much, if at all... especially in comparison to their pro contracts. They consider it an honor to represent their countries, kind of like the Olympics, I think.

i won't even care if im gettin paid in world cup, coz each other tournaments, i'll be get paid , but the world cup is like a symbol .. so i'd do my best just to take the honor.

these men do nothing for free they get paid thousands just for waking up in the morning ,the same with thier wives and girlfriends
