I am a brunette, even though my avatar is a redhead. I wear a plum-colored eyeliner called Plumwood by Estee Lauder, black mascara, and some kind of lip gloss/lipstick everyday. Sometimes I wear gray eyeshadow, black liner. Copper-colored eyeliner works, too. I love stuff from Trish McEvoy, who is a brunette! Revlon is awesome, too.

It's not just hair color that effects the best type of makeup for you to wear - skin tone and eye color are important too - for instance: I have green eyes and purple eye shadows enhance my eye color. That's really all the makeup I wear though. Little eye shadow, some mascara and foundation on days when I feel I need to cover up redness and zits :)

Sorry I can't help you more. Try Avon.Com or some other makeup site - I'm sure they have tips there.

You need to use a concealer that matches your not so red skin tone on the red cheeks. I have the same hair color and eyecolor.

I use Clinique Advanced Concealer #01 Matte Light
Clinique Gentle Waterproof Mascara #11 Black
Clinique Colour Surge eye shadow duo #103 Buttered Bronze
Avon Glimmersticks Waterproof eyeliner in Black Raincoat.

I use this everyday. For work and fun.

Well what I always do is wear gold or brown eyeshadow. I never cared much for purple but it does look good on a lot of brunettes I know. And its suppose to bring out brown eyes. But you can't go wrong with gold if your looking for a safe eyeshadow. For a blush use either a peach color, or a bronzer(test them in the store first to see which goes with your complexion.) For lipstick well that depends largely on your skin tone. The only important thing to remember is don't let the color miss match with your eyeshadow. Like if you go with a bright or distinct eyeshadow color, choose a more low key lipstick and vice versa. Or you could go with a low key eyeshadow and low key lipstick. Just never pair a bright lipstick and bright eyeshadow together. The human eye can only concentrate on one thing at a time.

As a suggestion- sit in front of a mirror and figure out what feature on your face you love the best. And focus on that when you choose makeup.ie.... If you love your eyes pick an eyeshadow that really makes them pop...and so on.

Hope I helped.

I am not a brunette, but have had many different hair colors. If you say you have a bit of pink in your cheeks you sound like you should wear cool tones or possibly neutrals. Another way to tell, in natural light, look at the palms of your hands. If they have mostly pinkish tones then you need to wear cool tones, blue/violet tones. If you have a yellowish tones you will want to wear warm tones, yellow/orange colors. If you have a combination of those neutral colors will look best. Good luck.

its wonderful being a brunette cuz we can wear almost anything. red heads r pretty with their fair skin and hot tempers and blondes supposedly have more fun, but i just love being a brunette and i have lovely skin, a hot temper when i want to, lol, and i certainly have plenty of fun! i have green eyes so i usually wear olive green colors, or browns. it is best to wear makeup that brings out ur eyes, not ur hair. especially since u dont have to worry about makeup color clashing with ur hair color. if u have blue eyes, wear light blues and light pinks. if u have brown eyes u can wear n e thing u want! don't forget u can go without makeup too, dont start piling on the makeup unless u really need it. its funny, a lot of girls wear tons of makeup to cover their pimply, discolored skin, but if they would go a week or two with out all that coverup their faces would become clear and fresh. oh and btw, please dont wear black eyeliner, it does not look nice on anyone!

Neutral tones best enhance ones features. Go for Browns, Golds, Lavenders & pinks. Sometimes shares of green enhance brown eyes.

For more help on this, go to a Beauty section and if you Loreal, Maybelline, or Cover girl, they already come mixed with colors that go with one another.

Lipsticks, you should also stick to warm tones, darker reds & berries, browns, nudes, so on.

If you need one on one help, any beauty dept. such as Macy's, Robinson's May, will help you makes some great choices (but you can find same selections at cheaper prices at drugstores)

Good luck!

It depends on what you're wearing and, most importantly, your skin tone. If you have fair skin you can use dramatic dark colors to make a lasting impression. For everday make-up I'd use earth tones (but I hardly ever wear make-up). My best advice is to buy a magazine about make-up, there always in the girl's section around the 17's and Cosmo's.

BRUNETTES DON'T NEED MAKE-UP BEFORE THEY ARE IN THEIR 30'S. FOR SOME UNKNOWN REASON GOD BLESSED MOST OF US WITH GOOD COMPLEX AND A GREAT ABILTY TO LAUGH AT THE WORLD WHEN THEY PILE ON THE CLOWN MASKS. BEAUSE WE HAVE SO VERY FEW FLAWS WE HAVE TO HIDE! IN THE END; AS WE ALL GET OLDER WE TRY TO HIDE SOMETHING BUT MAKE-UP CAN'T ALWAYS COVER UP UGLY INSIDE OR OUT.DON'T DEWELL SO MUCH ON YOUR BODY IT'S YOUR SOUL YOU SHOULD BE CONCERNED ABOUT THESE DAYS! FROM A GRANDMOTHER=GOOD LUCK I WISH YOU THE BES.T

Well do stuff to enhance your natrual beauty. Like, it sounds like you don't need blush, use a black eyeliner to enhance your eyes, then find a hair cut that fkatters you.
