I recently realized that we get 3 points back if we resolve our own questions. Sometimes though, there is no great answer or we just want to see what others think is the best.

I try to resolve my own questions most of the time, the reason I put some to the vote is because either A: My sisters, Mum or Son have answered or B: They are all really brilliant answers and my little fishy brain just can't cope with them. or C: It's late and I'm tired!

Yes I hate to see someone really in need of an answer and all they get is a bunch of stupid remarks so they can get points. I will admit when a real stupid question is ask I will join in, but not when I think the person is on the up and up. Thanks for bringing this up!!!

People might be very indecisive and so choose to put their question to vote, I try and choose BA myself, but sometimes I'm torn between 5 or 6 answers.

Or maybe they just forget to come back and pick one of the answers. But I can see how someone could leave their question open to see if they can get more people to leave any new information...

those weren't even full thought out questions so the answer they needed was an opinion. therefore they can't resolve their questions without others opinions i guess.
