The United Church of Christ accepts gays unconditionally.

The Unitarian Universalists

outside of Christianity:

Reform Judaism

Correllian Tradition Wicca

Beyond those and a few others that I can't think of the names of -- a number of Churches accept gays in most locations -- those would include the Episcopalians, United Methodists, and others -- and yes, it does have to do with the region of the US you are in.

Good luck,

PS To "Saved One" Any real church would never teach the mythology of the Bible. Any of it. The Bible says that the earth has corners in Isaiah 11:12, while in I Samuel 2:8 we are told that the world is established on pillars. The same god therefore that says that our round world spinning through the void is flat or cubic (to have corners) and sits on pillars also accepts human sacrifice from one general (Judges 11:30-39), causes cannibalism (Jeremiah 19:9) and endorses, even commands the taking of sex slaves (Numbers 31: 17-18). He personally sends wild animals to kill people's children (Leviticus 26:22) and wipes the faces of his priests with dung (Malachi 2:1-3). The short way of saying this is the god you worship is a monster. Biblio-idolatry is monstrous from its beginnings, for it celebrates such an evil and depraved god.

I am happy to say that as a Christian I believe in Jesus Christ, not a book of bronze age myths about a god who cannot even lead his people to defeat chariots of iron, after promising that he will (compare Joshua 17: 18 with Judges 1: 19-21). Jesus is a god of love who teaches us to live just lives, caring for others, going to the poor and the sick and the halt and the young and the old -- and doing for all those we can.

You can keep your old myths and the churches that believe in them -- and I pity you and hope Christ will open your eyes to a better way than that.

does the city you live in have a GLBT Center? If so, they will be able to refer you to everything and anything gay or gay friendly. As far as churches go... I know there is the MCC. Metropolitan Community Church and they officially accept homosexuals. They are nondenominational and are all over the country. The larger the city you live in, the better chances you have of finding services for GLBT populations. Yes, regions sometimes have a part in acceptance. The more diverse a region, the more accepting. Europe and Canada are more accepting than the US. Let's all move to Canada.

The United Church of Christ has an open and affirming policy that is official throughout their religion not just on a church by church basis. The United Methodist Church has several churches across the US that have become a part of the reconciling ministries program which is their GLBT outreach ministry.

The Catholics and the Christians, still have issues with gays...I watched Larry King last night and it spoke about openly gay bishops and priests in the epostal(i definitly spelled that one wrong) church and for them it depends on the congregation....
Most of the time yesit has to do with the environment the church is in...San francisco has plenty of gay accepting churches, but do you hear of any in, let's say, Maine?

there are churches out there that are called the Metropolitan Community Church. Also known as "M.C.C." They are gay oriented and are non-denominational. They are great churches. They are supposed to be very loving and caring churches. They will accept anyone who accepts them. The link that I have placed at the bottom is my old church. You may find one closest to you by going to any search engine ( I prefer www.dogpile.com) and finding it there.

why do you have to tell anyone what you are when you go to church.. You go to spend an hour with God. That is your business. For nothing else.. The church is God's house not the people who go there.. Go to worship him and do not care or announce your business to anyone.

Episcopalians have a gay man as a leader. Homosexuality is a sin and you need to repent from sin. My church teaches that adultery is even bigger sin...sin is a sin and you need to repent from your sins. But Jesus Christ died for our sins...the ones we have done, we are doing and we will do....so we really get saved by His mercy and Grace...repent from your sins and sin no more. That is what Bible teaches you.
