Say you awake one day with super-powers. What are your super-powers, and HOW would they work? (details please)

The idea is that you wake up with abilities "above and beyond" those of normal people. There are 2 questions there: What would your super-powers be? And how, in some detail, would they work? Try to be halfway original on the 1st question, and try to have a halfway detailed, plausible answer on the 2nd. I won't like "because I was born this way" or "because the Almighty (insert unprovable GodHead name here) said so!" types of cop-out answers, so try to keep it a *little* bit real, ok? :p

healing powers...to heal children with cancer,to heal the hearts of parents who have lost children,to heal aids,leukemia,even truly broken hearts from widows...anything that could be fixed by healing...
maybe i would have gotten these powers because of some situation
where i myself could not be healed...but received a gift to fix others...though i could never fix myself...so i would go around easing other peoples problems...

I would have the uncanny ability to see through bullshit. It would entail being able to see in x-ray, ultraviolet and infrared vision, a quick mind, willingness to confront those who B. S., and the strength to stay with my beliefs no matter how challenged.

I would like to fly. This would work because first i would jump up with super strong legs and then eventually get enough momentum to defy gravitys constant avg pull of 9.8 m/s.

i would like to have the power to freeze people or make myself invisible at a snap of my fingers.
because freezing people and stopping time, i can do whatever i want like snooping around, slapping my enemies, spying on my business rivals, learning what friends say about me.... and many unthinkable ways that i wont normally do if i dont have those kinds of power.

Uhhh.....I would have the ability to read people's minds. Maybe David Blaine or Chris Angel could play one of their " what is your name" mind tricks, & possibly unlock a door inside of my mind that would enable me to hear the world's problems.I would just have to concentrate on a person (& my desire to get inside of them) for a few seconds and.........I'm in! I could tell if some guy was feeding me bull-s*** with one of his sentimentalized, "chic-magnet" stories.

Mine would make EVERYONE 100% heterosexual, just like me. I wouldn't mind too much for a bi-chick, as long as I got most of the attention. (90%+) I would never consider boinking another guy, not even prison gay, as that would result in someones death.
