Priceless. I don't know how much they cost to manufacture or how much (if any) has been sold by players, but in terms of what they mean you can't put a price. Players who sell it are shortchanging themselves.

The rings are provided by team ownership and are chosen, each year, by the owners of the winning team. Though each owner might be motivated to out do the previous champions' rings, the cost of a ring depends on the design selected.

Last years Spurs rings were 14K white gold (a little more than 2 ounce of gold in each) studded with 2.5 carats of diamonds.

There are various memorabilia companies that make replicas (legally and not) of sports championship rings - they probably won't be sporting 2.5 carats of diamonds, but they're more in the price range that we mere non-million dollar mortals can afford.

I don't know the cost, but the 2005 Spurs ring has this and it sounds expensive:

14 karat white gold
Weighs over 2 ounces of 14 karat gold
2.55 carat weight of diamonds that includes round cut and baguette diamonds
Going across the top of the panel of each ring is the word “Spurs” in diamonds
Each ring is completely handmade and each diamond individually set

Its worth a playoff berth and16 wins in the post season games..

Sometimes its worth an ankle, or a hard elbow right smack in the nose.. But its just 16 wins..

I bet fake ones are pretty easy to come by. You need to find out who's making the rings, because I think they can supply you with fake ones.
