I'm sorry but the Big 12 is just too tough for Nebraska. I'm a CU fan and i'll admit it's too tough for both our teams. The Big 12 South is going to dominate. As for Lucky, I doubt it but we'll have to see. Check out Hugh Charles from CU.

I don't know Dun Dun....

Sophomore RB Lucky is no slouch, but the Huskers don't have a back (including Lucky) who averaged over 3 yards per touch last season. QB Zac Taylor will need to really settle down into Callahan's scheme and not repeat his 19:12 (TD:Int.) ratio.

I think they are easily one of the best teams in the North, and their schedule is favorable (with only two guaranteed losses: at USC and vs. Texas). But to win the Big XII (as you have predicted) means that they will have to trump one of the South powerhouses in December.

There is a shot, but I think OU has the better shot at the Big 12 Championship and the BCS bid.


ADDED 6-19: Yeah, you caught me...it's fun manipulating stats to help our argument, isn't it? Seriously, though...Brian Calhoun was a much better back for Wisconsin than Lucky will be for the Huskers, and he alone wasn't able to create a Championship caliber team. All that is to say, I agree that NU will win the North, but won't be in the BCS bowls come January.
