Of course not, its a common usage from teachers espcially used in deaf language where bye bye is the way to say it as you depart, no, language doesn't make a person gay.

I wouldn't use "bye bye" as a way of knowing what guys are okay for you to hit on, though. Just go to a gay bar.
However, if a guy wiggles his fingers at you and says "toodles", he is probably gay.

I think that that is slang for goodbye that originated in England. Some gays appear to affect English slang and language styles.
