O.Henry,Anton Chekov,Saki are my favorates.

The cop and the anthem,From the cabby's seat are some of my fav stories by O.Henry.They are both present in his book The four million.You can get his books from gutenberg.org.Search under william sydney porter or O.Henry.Avoid his book cabbages and kings.

Bradbury's good, too. Nice to see some one literate in the land of the grammar challenged.
