He could certainly have your 18 year old friend arrested for assault... and that's what he would be arrested for. After that, with documentation, yeah, your friend could be sued for his actions.

It might be child abuse and the 17 year old could probably get the 18 year old into a lot more trouble than if he was charged with aggravated assault. It's the same thing if an 18 year old has a sexual relationship with a 17 year old. The 17 year old or their parents can get the 18 year old arrested for sexual assault on a minor or statutory rape and if they are convicted the 18 year old will be a registered sexual offender for life.

Yes, age is minor here, assault is assault. If the 18 year old is still in high school would also affect charges.

The 17 year old possibly could sue it depends on what state they live in otherwise it would be the parent's decision. It would be called assult.

That's too young an age to be filing a lawsuit and all.An out of court settlement would be good.Something like hitting back.But if he wants to sue their parents are eligible to sue him.
