I know six months can seem like a long time when you're 16, but it will most likely go by pretty fast. While you and your boyfriend are apart for that time, you might want to think about your future and if you want to be with a guy who is already in so much trouble that he is being sent away for six months. I know I don't know the whole story, but if he's been involved in any crimes (and especially violent crimes), you may want to re-think staying with him once he is back.

As for friends, online friends can be great, but you should try to find some girls your age nearby that you can hang out with. As difficult as it may be to talk to and trust new people, it may be the best thing for you to get out and meet people. Find something you're interested in, whether it be taking some kind of class this summer, or just shopping and do it and see who you meet.

Remember, you're only sixteen and have decades of your life left to live. Don't sit and wait for this boy to come back. Get out and live your life and enjoy your teenage years, cuz you'll never get them back.

Find a boyfriend who will be out of prison when you have children.
