If any of you actually do work at home via internet, what do you do and how much do you make (how much is realistic to make for the amount of time/effort put in). Thanks.

I have a very successful eBay store, with a net result of approx. $ 500 per day, by targeting international markets instead of selling in the US (90% of my sales are cross-border sales to Europe, Asia, Australia, Middle East, Africa).

My eBay store will be featured in September's Entrepreneur magazine (for the 2nd time, my store was also featured in Entrepreneur in September 2004).

As nothing comes from nothing, it does require dedication, innovation, out-of-the-box thinking, and the will to succeed.

I do affiliate marketing. I'm decent at it, but my income does vary quite a bit. Within the past year I've made anywhere from $800-4000 per month.

I work whatever hours I can squeeze in. I have two small children so sometimes it isn't easy to get work done. It takes a lot of dedication and sometimes I have to stay up late at night to get everything I want done.

The nice thing is that some of my sites bring in small incomes with minimal effort while others require more effort, but they tend to be my better sites. Over time I hope to keep building things up to something that is more stable.

I do have a website where I talk about different kinds of home business at http://www.aspectsofhomebusiness.com/ you might like. There are all kinds of options for working at home. It takes a lot of determination and organization to really get a home business of any kind growing.

I have several websites and blogs on different niches, ie; hobbies, and informational sites. It really is pretty easy once you figure out how to do it properly. I make enough to stay at home and work when I want.

As for how much is a realistic amount of time and effort you need to get started, you can get started for free. But it does take time and effort at first. One of my mentors told me in order to make real money you have to spend money. So I would say spend some money on learning materials to help you with the learning curve.

Suggest u to check out the following site. And i wanna say, "u can not make good money without a bit of input". Ok, Here is wat u can do with this company/site. U can earn money multiple ways! At the same time, u work for ebay, amazon, window casino and a lot more. They giv u great commissions. Plus U make hundreds again and again by working for ur sponsored company which is the one u wanna join first. Then they offer u ebay, casino and all those for free. The best thing is u dun hv to do too much setting up this business urself. However, u r required to make a payment of 100ish to several hundreds depends on how big the return u want it to be. Well, all i gotta say is: It is a great company with years of success already. Just go check it out first!

Just sign up with the site w/o paying anything first. Then they will phone u i Guess...and u can ask questions all u want. I am not really a big expert of it.
Note: I am not doing this currently; however, many of my frds r doing it and are extremely happy with the extra income they make.
Best wish!

I owned a handmade soap and lotion company, my first year grossed $1,345.16 because I put little into it. 2nd yr I was worth $3567.93 because I put a lot into it. The 5th year when I sold my company I had a catalog and internet business and made a whopping $19, 359.82. So it depends on how much time and effort you want to spend with the company. Don't do candles, that's the big thing now and its on the decline. People want inscense they can burn outside with Citronella in them!
Good Luck!

ME! http://makemoney.yacam.altervista.org here you can find information and start your online marketing without one cent and no credit card require.
How does it work?
You can earn money by placing ads on your website or in your emails. For this there are various commission models. For instance your receive a commission if a sale is being made via your ad.

So, how do you get to take part?

Register
Apply for partnership with the partner-program of one or more merchants. The merchant will email you when your application has been accepted
After the successful application you place the html-code of an advertising media like a link or banner on your homepage or in your emails and can immediately earn commissions with it.

What are my earning options?

Your earnings are generated by:
View, pay per view - for the display of advertising materials (banner, logo, product image, text link)
Click, pay per click - when somebody clicks an advertising material
Lead, pay per lead - when you acquire a new customer
Sale, pay per sale - when you broker a sale
pay per lifetime - recurring sales commission (e.g., subscription renewal)
pay per period - a fixed fee which is calculated for an individually defined billing period (e.g., fixed monthly fee)

affiliate merchants can offer you a range of condition models, for example, €0.15 per click, €10 per lead and an additional 25% of the sale brokered. The visitors to whom the sales are being brokered have a period of 30 days to decide on their purchase. During this time, you are entitled to all leads and sales resulting from the visitor's activities.
Every merchant offers all four condition models (view, click, lead, sale). These may also be combined and allocated individually for each affiliate.

When and how will I be paid?

As a rule, only confirmed transactions will be paid out. Any pending transactions first need to be confirmed by the merchant in question. At the point of billing (end of the month), the confirmed transactions need to total €25 or higher (up to the payout limit) for a credit note to be generated. In "Profile" > "Account information" (login section), you can authorise this credit to be paid out before the 10th of the following month. For further details, see the question "How do I authorise payment of my credits?" below. All authorised credits are booked for payment on the 9th of each month. Even if you miss the deadline, you can still authorise the payment. In this case, the payment is booked in the next month. Bank transfers are the only payment method available within Germany. If the payout threshold is not reached at the end of the month or if you did not authorise the credit, your existing credit will be carried over to the next month.

I own my own catalogue sales business and do very well. So well in fact I spend much of my time on the net at sites like this. My business will go on-line in September and the potential is even greater. I sell items from around the world, basically bringing all those speciality shops into one place.

I have an ebay store (fetish/gothic/punk clothing) and net around $800-900 a week. It doesn't really take much effort. Just the money for the inventory.

I work from home. I created my own web site. When I place ads on my site, people click on them and I get paid that way. It pays for the site and gives me spending money each month.

Here is a page on my website to give you more information.
