Super Sport. The current Chevy vehicles that have the SS name are the Cobalt, Impala, Monte Carlo, Trailblazer, and Silverado. The Camaro had the recent Super Sport name tacked on back in '97 until its '02 demise.

SS stands for super sport. but the new monte carlo's labled with ss are not a ss. SS was given to the fast cars with v8's not puney v6's
