Lets take a survey. Those who are divorced. who filed for it most often. men or women.?

This should be interesting to see if the woman files for a divorce or do the men file most often. and of those who filed is it as easy as you thought it would be.

I filed for divorce. My attorney told me that it would make a better case in my favor (as a female) if I did so since my Ex was dragging his feet. It did work out for me. The judge granted me sole custody of our child ( we were going for joint custody) and my ex was told to pay my attorney fees.

Good question but i do not know the exact answer. I filed for my divorce because he took off and abandoned me with no intent of ever coming back! It all comes down to who wants out and why and who actually comes up with the money to file!

My ex did. I wish I had, but being an immigrant I couldn't muster enough guts to do so. I was completely dependent upon him. And after he filed I started discovering how he had been decieving and lying to me from day one and its not that he was involved with someone else. Yet he just couldn't admit who he really, was would lie about his age, petty things. I lived with an imposter for 2 1/2 yrs and wanted to work on it. I wish I had filed for the divorce.

I asked for the divorce, filed the papers, and paid for the divorce. HE got a judgment put against him for the amount I paid due to the judge making him pay for it. So, I got him in the end!
