I'm 42, healthy, within normal limits.Have been an antidepressent for about 2 years. All of sudden I get these urges to just bawl my eyes out...for no reason, and in no specific place. If I can't get this under control, I'm in danger of losing a job! I'm not clinically depressed anymore (thanks to zoloft or whatever) and I take lorazepan when I feel anxious, but these incidents seem different - For absolutely no reason, I just feel the need to have a really GOOD cry, right now. I'm not ill, I'm not suicidal, I'm not stressed, but there has to be SOME reason I'm having these episodes. Any help is appreciated.

I would, personally, talk to your doctor. Maybe the antidepressant needs to be changed to a different dosage or type? Maybe it is something hormonal (menopause can start as early as in the 30s). Have your doctor do a total blood workup on you to check the hormone levels. If that isn't it, then I would, personally, recheck the levels of the anti depressant. Your body can become immune to the level you are on with any med.
