You may explore the options of running vocational and career oriented short / medium term courses for adults outside your regular school timings and can earn extra money from the same educational institution.

Associations may be a good avenue to explore as well. These organizations will address many of the thoughts, questions and concerns you'll inevitably have as well as many you haven't anticipated yet. See the source box for some relevant links.

Research, research, research – this cannot be stressed enough. Read as much as you can about the industry. Here are some book titles that are relevant:

* On the Journey to Open a New School: One Step at a Time by Brenda J. Travis
* Crash Course by Chris Whittle
* How to Market Your School : A guide to marketing, public relations, and communication for school administrators by Johanna M Lockhart

I also posted links to some free articles in the source box.

Hope that helps! I wish you much success & happiness in all your ventures!

If you want to stay in the school business, look into partnering with a charter school organization. You can be part of a large network organization with all the benefits of a large business, such as discounts on bulk buying, and having a central purchasing department, which handles all the backbone of the work.

Check into the charter school my son goes to:

I also might suggest that you look into improving your communication skills. The detail section of your question isn't very well written.

Start looking for different income streams. Have external companies offer services for which you can take a percentage. These would be sports training, photography, computers, etc.

Good luck...
