This just seems particularly odd to me, as people that are not born in america(or canada) don't do this, and people of any other race also don't do this. For example, wouldn't it be wierd if I changed my name to "WhtDiscofro" or something that effect? (Disclaimer: I know every asian american doesn't do this, I'm asking about the ones that do)

why not. but the ones with Azn are the ones trying to be getto or gangster like.

I have wondered the same. If I put all my ancestry before American it would not fit in one of these boxes. Makes you wonder if they would rather be in Asia than America...

Many asians have christian names. So, they would like to make others know that they are asians. Maybe you are talking about special group of people. who knows..
