I know how you feel because I've congratulated a women for a pregnancy and she wasn't....I don't do this anymore even if she is on her 8th month of pregnancy. I try to be sure, but I don't considered stupid if someone doesn't take care of herself, leading people to wrong assumptions.

The person who said the only stupid question is the one you don't ask clearly has never been on Yahoo Answers.

Some questions are stupid such as nosy questions. For example, "Who were you married to before?" Other stupid questions are not really questions such as "Where were you when this crap happened?" or "Don't you care?" These types of question are meant to offend. It is always good to answere these questions with a question such as "Who cares?" or "What do you think?"

Maybe your question caused her to get in better shape, thereby helping her health, so it was not a stupid question, tactless maybe.

Well you should have asked her first if she was preganant, because you obviously did not know yet.
What's your question from your previous question?
