During the regular season they had attendance problems so they draped white cloth over the empty seats and gave white T-Shirts to the people there so the empty seats would blend in.
After people started showing up it became a thing of unity and support.

The white shirts are at the Miami game. If you notice, their home jerseys are white. "White Hot Heat"...fans supporting their "CHAMPIONS"!!!!!
