Are you really proud of a Made in America vehicle? Do you look at a Volkswagen or a Mercedes and think "That's how you build a car!" ? The thought of a Ferrari sitting in your driveway is a total turn-on, but would you still feel comfortable driving one? Can the Brits make a production car and actually keep the companies from going belly up?

It's no surprise that the Italians are fanatical about being fanatics about cars. But let's throw another stone into the pond: The Japanese. They have the most innovative and technological society on the planet. Remember, we're not talking about racing for pinks here...we're talking about overall--who makes a better car?

I would absolutely say the Italians make a darn comfortable car. I've ridden for four hours straight in a 1983 Ferrari 308, and I didn't have any back, leg or neck pain at all, the seats and the ride were so comfortable. I could motor in that car all day if I was familiar with it. But it's the getting familiarity part that's scary, especially when you don't have the money to fix it if you break it (me)!
The Americans, Brits and Germans also make wonderful cars, but none have been as comfortable for me as the Ferrari is. But then again, I'm short, so for someone 6-foot-plus, my opinion wouldn't count for much. Alas, those with expensive taste and a beer-and-chips budget!

This is an obvious answer. If you don't agree, then you don't know anything about cars. Italians have made the best cars long before americans had cars. Seriosly, think of all the best car companies. Ferrari Enzo, Bugatti Veyron, Maserati MC12, Lamborghini Gallardo, Pagani Zonda just to name a few of the worlds best super/sport cars that came from Italy. All of these are amazing engineering feats. No other country can compete with this track record of amazing cars.

VW and Audi are the only German engineered cars I like, BMW Mercedes and Porche don't excite me. Other than Jaguar I haven't encountered many British cars. Italian cars seem good to me but I've only seen them on line. American cars in my opinion are low quality and do not get very good gas mileage. My favorite of all are Japanese cars, great quality and great gas mileage.

you can never go wrong with american made. yeah, a ferrari may be a turn on, but try fixing it or even finding someone to work on a car like that. but still, it will look pretty in the driveway, eventhough that may be all it does

I think the Germans have it, for sure. The best car I ever owned, anyway, was a Volkswagen Jetta.

I hear more about German cars than the others when it comes to foreign cars..but it seems like America is more ahead when it comes to modernizing and putting cool new gadgets in their cars.
